We have finally painted the two doors black and put them together with brackets. We also put 1X2's on the back of the doors to hold the bookcases in place.
We have built 5 of the 6 bookcases. (when putting the bookcases together we figured out that we could have 6 instead of 5)

Brad has a plan to make them stand up right. He made them plumb by putting 1X2's between the left and right bookcases. (great idea Hubby) more photos to come... note the bookcases are not flush to the wall. There is a 15inch gap and that is how he will crawl in and put the 1X2's between the left and right bookcases.
